Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from prospective clients.

What does an engagement cost?+
It depends on scope, not a fixed menu. A single facilitated session is different from a six-month organizational development engagement. We scope and price after a 20-minute discovery call so the number reflects what you actually need. We work with government budgets, grant-funded programs, and private-sector retainers.
How long does a typical engagement last?+
Most engagements span one to six months across four phases: Discovery, Facilitation, Roadmap, and Implementation. Some clients retain us on an ongoing advisory basis. We scope the timeline during the initial call.
Do I need to know which service I need before we talk?+
No. Most clients call with a problem, not a service name. The 20-minute discovery call is where we figure out the right starting point together.
Can you work remotely, or do you need to be onsite?+
Both. We are headquartered in St. Louis and travel regularly to Kansas City and nationwide. Many engagements blend onsite working sessions with remote coaching, review, and accountability check-ins.
What makes you different from a larger firm?+
Every engagement is led by a principal, not handed to a junior associate. Our consultants have sat in the seats they advise: charter commissions, federal courts, healthcare leadership, and executive teams. You get practitioners, not theorists.
Are you set up for government procurement?+
Yes. SAM.gov registered, state vendor registrations in Missouri, Illinois, and North Carolina. NAICS codes 611430, 541611, 541612, 611710, and 541690. PSC codes R408, R499, R410, R425, U008, and R431. Capability statement available on request.
What sectors do you serve?+
Government, education, healthcare, private sector, faith-based, and nonprofits. The methodology is the same across all of them.
How do we get started?+
Schedule a 20-minute consult. That call is usually enough to scope the right starting point. Email info@ciicsconsultingllc.com.
